Abstract
Digital Workflow in Interdisciplinary Treatments with Orthodontic Aligners
by Bazzucchi Andrea and Pavone Antonello Francesco
Orthodontic aligners are very popular for realigning teeth in adult patients. Adult patients present many complex situations that require very careful interdisciplinary planning. The digital work flow from diagnosis to therapies allows today to carefully plan the orthodontic treatment mixed with prosthetic and implant treatments in a very precise way and to create an appropriate treatment sequence. Finally, it is possible not only to share and reason better within the dental team on the digital treatment plan, but also to easily share treatment goals and sequences that are more suitable for him, too, with the patient and make him informed right since the begining. Today digitization is also opening new horizons in the planning of implant surgeries within the orthodontic sequence and we will even be able to insert implants during orthodontic treatment at the ideal moment in which we develop the ideal edentulous space and use these provisionally loaded implants for the orthodontic finalization phases without interrupting the initially scheduled workflow.
